He is a modern-day Casanova, impossible to resist.
That is, until the mysterious Señorita Mundo crashes the party.
Who hides behind that dazzling mask?
Why does the stranger avoid our charming host?
And what happens when fantasies go astray?
Come to a sexy masquerade featuring comedy,
mystery and a touch of horror.
But beware: this party is for lovers.
Someone there is bound to seduce you.
La Señorita Mundo is the latest collaboration of Vancouver playwright and director Kico Gonzalez-Risso and Toronto musician Njo Kong Kie (music director, La La La Human Steps; composer of chamber operas knotty together and The Futures Market, both previously performed at Summerworks). This 50-minute chamber opera features two favourtie performers of Toronto new music scene: mezzo-soprano Vilma Indra Vitols and tenor Keith Klassen (Now Magazine top 10 theatre artist).
